It all started at the Blue Nose

My running story begins with inspiration from the Blue Nose. This time last year I would not expect I would be training with Team Myles for a 10K race. Last year, my 10 year old son signed up for the 2K Kid’s race. When picking up the race kit, I was asked if I was running as the support person. I had not thought about a support person, but I could not run a 2K and had no interest in trying.
Being a parent spectator at The Blue Nose was exciting. For the first time ever, I thought maybe I would train and run a race sometime.
In September, my son joined the school running club and asked if I would run with him, so I agreed. We were joined by my sister-in-law on many of our runs. She is an experienced runner and provided lots of support and motivation. With her encouragement, we ran a 5K in December.
My next goal is to run a 10K. I am so happy it will be the Blue Nose and I am training with such a fantastic team.
