I was lucky enough to have been chosen twice before to be a part of the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon Team Myles program. In 2016 I ran my first 10km as an ambassador of Team Myles and the program has such an impact on me I returned in 2017 as a mentor. Last year was one of injuries for me so along with not running I strayed from my healthy lifestyle and gained back the 70lbs I had previously lost. After getting the go ahead from Leanne at LifeMark Physiotherapy to start running again I knew there was no better way to start than with this group.
I’m excited and scared to get back on the roads. It’s hard starting from zero again but I know with the support of my coaches, mentors, fellow ambassadors and the amazing sponsors GoodLife FITNESS, LifeMark, Areobics First, Hotel Halifax, The Barrington Hotel and of course Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon I can rise the the challenge and rock my half marathon.
