Well it’s over! I ran the 10 k in 1:01:51 and it was an excellent experience!!! I really don’t like crowds but in this case the energy was truly amazing- I reached all my goals, lost 40 pounds,ran the 10 k and didn’t quit, even when the pain was really unbearable. »

I’m keeping up with everything, even though I’ve been a bit lax about blogging. My schedule right now is pretty busy- Monday- run 5 or 6 kms, Tuesday- personal trainer (he’s still killin’ me!), Wednesday- 5 or 6kms, Thursday- gym, Friday- off (unless my daughter feels like a short run), Saturday- 11kms, Sunday- gym. »

I did it! I’ve been worried for weeks about being able to run 10kms, and proved to myself this morning I can run 11kms! I left at 7:30am, and returned home at 8:42. I ran the race route (in reverse) and added on a kilometre getting to and from my home. »

I had a few very good runs in the past week. I tried to lengthen my stride on the run today so it was shorter distance but much faster. I managed to run about 5k without stopping using the longer strides. It really got the heart pumping!! We got the new shoes so I can’t »
