Injury Report #3: Hips that don’t lie

I am verging on thinking that all I do is complain here.
Based on a few solid recommendations, and a leg that still does not feel 100%, with a new symptom appearing – a troublesome, painful, but not really swollen medial collateral ligament in my right knew, I made an appointment to see Natalie Randall - Osteopath. And although she conceded that my knee does hurt, my problems are far from rooted there!
She gave me a thorough exam (and I must say, a rather odd ligament stretch around my SI joints….if you know where that is, perhaps you are now smirking) and determined that my hips are operating far from optimally.
In her words, my “hips are a 2 or 3″, and by that she means out of 10. The are rotating, off balance, imbalanced, out of kilter and are making my left leg a half inch longer that my right…even though my right is naturally longer!
I was truly shocked at the immediate results. One hour later, I feeling completely different, and very much looking forward to my run in the morning! I think it is the Sackville River Trail that is calling…
