Its 7:00am on Saturday. I am warm in my bed, head hurting from the tail end of a migraine. The busyness of the week is going through my head. I make a mental note of setting the coffee machine on auto next week. I look out the window and am reminded it is still February. Two cups of […]
We’ve completed the first full week of training and I’ve made the decision to take full advantage of the opportunity and resources offered to me and try and make some lifestyle changes that will stick once the training is complete. After our nutrition session with Michelle MacLean I bought a new blender and have been […]
Even at 9:30 a.m. on a -4 degrees day, Team Myles was pumped to tackle the trails at Point Pleasant Park. We ARE morning people. We ARE runners. We did 5km in 41 minutes today!

One day after hills training and I can safely say I survived. I’m not going to lie, it was brutal. It can only get better and I can only get better.
This post goes out to all my Blue Nosers who ran or walked the 5k last year. On Tuesday we hit Citadel Hill for hill training. I was not ready for that! A total of 8 runs up the hill with everyone hitting the top on the 5th go and about 30 seconds of cool down […]
So, got on the scale with Personal Trainer Jane at Goodlife on the week-end and it wasn’t what I expected (meaning: up). My calm outward persona quickly entered meltdown mode. Didn’t matter that I knew why. I didn’t trash the “plan” or suddenly change as a human being. As a result, no more can […]
