I don’t know about you guys but when I’m running, I’m usually thinking about how much longer this run is going to take, what am I going to eat next, why am I doing this, this is so hard, when is my next walk break, why isn’t my Garmin beeping yet, etc. However, this morning when I was doing my solo run, I started thinking about all of the accomplishments of my teammates and thought I would challenge myself to not take walk breaks. I turned my music up a little louder so I wouldn’t hear my Garmin beep and then the worst thing imaginable happened. My music stopped and I thought, “Well that’s it, there’s no way I can get through this now!”
But I persevered by remembering all the words of encouragement from our coaches, mentors and my teammates and I did it! 30 minutes of running with no walk breaks!!
All in all, this was been a breakthrough week for me. Hit the 7km mark on my solo run earlier this week, went for the first time to hot yoga at Moksha and loved it, did extreme Hill training on Wednesday night and ran 30 minutes straight today!
Thank you for inspiring me Team Myles 2018 – can’t wait for the Blue Nose!
