I cannot believe that the Scotiabank Bluenose Marathon Event Weekend is here. In 12 hours from now, we will be lining up ready to run the 10K at 8:05 am. This is everything that Team Myles 2016 has been training for since March 12th.
I cannot express in words how incredibly thankful I am for Scotiabank choosing me to represent them as a part of Team Myles 2016. Even though there’s been ups and downs, the whole experience has been amazing. I didn’t believe at the beginning when Devin and the Mentors said I would be a runner, but with hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of stubbornness (if that’s even a word), I can proudly say I am one!
I am looking forward to running the 10K tomorrow and celebrating everyone’s achievements afterwards. Running in a 10K was a complete pipe dream at the beginning of the training. Now I know 100% that I can do this. I’m not concerned about what place I come in or even what time I finish, I’m just going to finish.
Best of luck to everyone participating in the races tomorrow and congratulations to everyone who did the Youth and 5K races today! I’m proud of each and every one of you!
