This has been another busy week. I want to give a huge shout out to two of Team Myles 2016 sponsors – TAYS Yoga and 360Fit Gym. Without TAYS, I would never have tried yoga classes. I went to a second class this past Thursday with Mike. He was again so welcoming and helpful with those of us struggling to do the moves.
This morning, me and some of my Team Myles family did a Boot Camp class at 360Fit. Walking into a Boot Camp class is something I would NEVER have done had it not been for 360Fit sponsoring us. I really appreciate that as members of Team Myles, we get the opportunity to try new things as part of our training. Boot Camp kicked my butt and I wasn’t able to fully do all of the exercises, but I still tried and modified some of the exercises I was doing. I’m sure tomorrow I’ll feel sore in places I never knew existed. Looking forward to going again!
Back to run training – this week’s Team Myles run was 6 minutes run and 1 minute walk for 6 intervals. Guess what?? I did it!!! Sometimes I felt like the timer would never go off to tell us to walk, but I made it. There’s a small group of us that are at the back of the pack away from the main group and right now there’s no place I would rather be. We have great chats while we’re running which helps the time go by way faster. I am really enjoying my time with my Team Myles family and it’s hard to believe we’ve only known each other for a month and a half.
