I knew the difference, but I didn’t care! I was starving. I missed my early supper around 4 before citadelhill because of an appointment, so at 5:30 I shoved a sandwich down my gob and I may or may not have eaten a delicious, soft fresh piece of pita bread as well. And a cookie.
Fast forward an hour to running up Citadel Hill. It’s always painful from the get go but 2/3 of the way through I had a stitch on my right side making it super hard to go at my usual pace going up and down.
So the moral of my story is, listen to what the mentors told us in the beginning. Eat a few hours before running and you probably won’t go through what I did Tuesday night haha!
