I want to start by explaining how incredibly grateful I am to be on Team Myles 2016. I’m sure lots of people can relate to my story, as it’s really not that uncommon. I used to be fit, I horseback rode and ran for fun in my spare time. But, like many students, my health took a back seat while I completed 2 degrees over the course of 6.5 years. I could never dream to fit into the clothes I did even 5 years ago. I also want to point out that health is NOT just physical. Mental and spiritual health are also incredibly important to well-being. I found that out the hard way, let me tell you.
SO now that I’ve been out of school for a while, but still carrying on with an unhealthy lifestyle, its time to make a change. In comes Team Myles to save the day . Am I terrified? Of course. Will I do it anyway? Yup. Why? Because if I turn down this opportunity to be completely supported, not only by a team of people doing the same thing, but also by amazing sponsors, when will I ever run again?
I really hope this journey inspires others to do the same. Get up off the couch, out on the trail and enjoy the world around you. Don’t let your setbacks or circumstances stop you. Fall in love with your new lifestyle. Do it for yourself.
