So I’m going to be completely honest by saying the thought of hill training has scared the pants off of me since our trainer Devin mentioned them at the Team Myles 2016 meet and greet. I’ve been running for about a year and always do my best to avoid hills when I’m out but today I decided I was going to change my mindset and make it happen.
All day I told myself how exciting this new challenge would be and when I got to the hill I set a goal to reach the speed limit sign which I’m proud to say I did for the first two 30 second sprints and as we continued with the remaining 10 it got further away. On our last sprint we had the option to keep going to the top of the hill and I debated it but with my awesome team members cheering each other on I did just that.
I’m looking forward to our next hill night and aiming to reach that sign 4 out of the 12 sprints…….I’ll keep you posted!
