Seeing a pattern to start

With all of the Team Myles information coming at me, it’s been a bit overwhelming, but I feel that I’m starting to get the hang of things and settle into a pattern. Patterns, for me, or habits, are comforting. I know what to expect and that provides me with a sense of well-being. So far, I’ve committed to Monday night Boot Camp at 360Fit gym. While the instructors have been different, the essence of the classes are the same. Short spurts – 30 seconds – of various activities done in cycles. Great, I can follow that! After 45 minutes, you know you’ve gotten a great workout and by Wednesday, nah who am I kidding?  Friday, you start feel like yourself! Tuesday is the dreaded HILL.( I read somewhere that a hill with it’s own name, must be revered – it is!) Week one of the hill was tough. Afterwards, I felt okay until later in the night and then felt sick to my stomach. Week 2, I felt much better afterwards. It wasn’t easy, but it was easier. Week 3 I went out early with a former Team Myles member, Carol and did 3 practice runs before the Team showed up.  So, overall, I am  pretty pleased with my progress to date. Wednesday is a rest day for my body to catch up. Thursday will be yoga or running. Friday a rest day before run day Saturday. Sunday will be run day also. So, I have a schedule I can commit to and follow.  Now, if the snow would just stop and the streets, sidewalks and trails clear up, outdoor running would be a lot easier!
