A beautiful Saturday morning run in #PointPleasantPark

March 22nd………..a great day for a run!!

Woke up this morning ready to go………. running gear strategically laid out so I had to trip over it if needed.  I am not a natural morning person so setting this up the night before is always a wise idea.

Training for the 10km run for the #BlueNose2014

Got to #PointPleasantPark early………sun was shining…….not too cold……….and Spring was in the air.  Devin from #360Fit led the cheer as he does each Saturday morning.  Nothing like having everyone cheering to get boost those motivation feelings.  Paige, Wendy and I stuck together and paid attention to breathing, easy stride, posture, mid-foot striking……and feeling good while we are running.  Before we knew it we were almost done……….the challenges from last week put to rest……..each week we improve……….yeah us!!

At the end of a good run we always do a stretch…………

Paige, Wendy and I practised a pigeon pose on the pavement, doing our best to avoid the wet grass………..I do think we looked odd……..but our legs thanked us immensely:)

and then……….a surprise!!!!     Cold chocolate milk!  Thank you #RechargeWithMilk

#RechargeWithMilk………….chocolate milk after a run…………simply the best!!!!   (Did you know that adding chocolate milk within 30 minutes of your workout can help you recover? Chocolate milk gives you the fluids, carbs and protein to rehydrate, refuel and recharge!)

Thank you Christine for wording the next bit so very well:)    Dairy Farmers of Canada is running a contest offering up some great prizes. All you have to do is go to the Recharge with Milk website  and then share your post-workout routines on Twitter and/or Instagram using the #rwmrewards.

Prizes include milk, running gear, personal training sessions – or a grand prize marathon package.
